Code of Conduct

These are the values and behaviour that the Spin Sistas promote and encourage riders to adopt. We welcome riders of all abilities whom are over the age of 18 years, regardless of religion, sexual orientation, culture or ethnicity.  We are a non-threatening women’s group.

Our purpose isn’t to help you ride faster, or even further, but to dream bigger and re-capture the magic of adventure and the simple bliss of friendship!

Spin Sistas operate in an environment that is free from harassment.

Harassment is defined as action directed at an individual or group that creates a hostile, intimidating offensive environment for that individual, group or other.

Spin Sistas show respect for others and their property.

Respect is defined as the acknowledgement of the basic dignity, worth and human rights of every person, and consideration for another's physical and emotional well-being and possessions, to ensure no damage or deprivation is caused to either.

Equality

Every Spin Sista is equally important and plays an integral role in the success of the group

All members shall

  1. Act in a manner which is compatible with the interests of the Spin Sistas.
  2. Accord people involved in cycling with the appropriate courtesy, respect and regard for their rights and obligations.
  3. Treat people’s property with respect and due consideration of its value.
  4. Show a positive commitment to the Spirt of the Spin Sista bunch ettiquite, code of conduct, and agreements.
  5. Operate within the rules of the sport including those of AusCycle and international guidelines.
  6. Be fair, considerate and honest in their dealings with others, ride within the spirit of the group.
  7. Demonstrate a high degree of individual responsibility regarding actions and equipment – seek advice.
  8. Allowed to curse at coach plus vice versa when going up a steep hill!
  9. Sock length.  Shorts and socks should be like Goldilocks;  Not too long, not too short.  Ankle length is for tennis!
  10. Abide by the road rules.
  11. No one gets left behind.
